An A$41m investment by China's ECE in the 60Mt Kanyika Niobium Project (Malawi) should go ahead in 1Q11, paving the way for a completed BFS. Exploration programs at Machinga and Mount Muambe have found highly encouraging levels of rare earths.

A resource upgrade of the 55mt Kanyika Niobium Project (Malawi) is imminent (June 2010). BFS expected 2011. Company MOU’s in place for offtake covering 45% of production. NAV is A$141m, compared to market cap A$15m - a valuation gap that should close as project milestones are reached.

GBE has announced a PFS of the uranium/ specialty-metal Kanyika Project (Malawi) - JORC resource of 56mt with 321mlbs Nb2O5 and 9mlbs U3O8. Positive scoping study 2Q08. Ongoing resource drilling has returned high-grade intercepts - more assays pending.

Globe has announced results of the scoping study for its Kanyika Project in Malawi. The study was carried out by Coffey Mining Pty Ltd. The Kanyika deposit is differentiated by the fact that it is a niobium deposit with uranium, tantalum and zircon credits.
